Matthew (and our) first trunk or treat. It poured, so we ended up inside the church. I handed out candy in a classroom door, while Nick took Matthew around with the other kids.
It started with a carnival then onward to treats!

Chelsea's Boston Day
My sister visited in September. And now I'm sharing that visit (haha, my family always seems to be a few days late!)
We started in Chinatown.
Walked to the theatre district.
Of course, no trip is complete without a visit to Fanueil Hall for people watching, shopping, and goofy pictures:
Lunch is always a treat. I love that you can get whatever you want.
"It's a nice place to visit, but I don't want to go there." said Chelsea of Harvard. I still made her rub the foot.
I love how pretty and peaceful the Holocaust Memorial is.
We finished our Boston day with Mike's Pastries eaten by the pretty park.

A Bittersweet Ending
CSA has come and gone. 20 weeks full of veggies, new recipes, fresh food now, and storing some up for winter.
Lettuce was plentiful all season, we even got some this last week!
Tomatoes had a bumper crop. from Roma, to Choke Cherry,
to grape, to cherry, to green, to heirloom, to regular.
There's some corn in my fridge to finish this week. There's some wonderful beans in the freezer as well as pureed veggies for Matthew. It's been a wonderful season, and I loved it even more than last year.
Why is it bitter? Because now I'm stuck with the veggies at the store until next spring.
And now I'm off to reserve next year's spot! Gotta do it early, as there was a waiting list this year.
If you are interested, I use Farmer Dave's. He has pickup points in Burlington, Beverly, Somerville, Tewksbury as well as Dracut of course. He also has options ranging from a small share to a super family share! We purchase a regular share.

A quirk
Matthew has this quirk where he prefers to have a blanket (or other soft object that is nearby pulled over his head to go to sleep.
He tends to grab the nearest thing.

Back in 15
I thought you could use a break from my kid. Plus, if you were starting to think I take too many pictures....

Driving
We have been incredibly blessed with hand me downs, including this car:
Matthew wasn't sure of it at first. But it is now one of his favorite things!

Rough Night
Matthew was completely uncomfortable. He was breaking in a second tooth. He was onry, and I was tired. He didn't want to lay down, but was okay sitting as long as he was being held tight.
We both fell asleep before Nick.
I like how peaceful we both look.

Feeding Time
Matthew loves to eat. Luckily, he loves his fruits and vegetables. He also loves Mum Mums which are a rice cracker.

Matthew and Bedtime
After some trial and error, we have a bedtime routine for Matthew.
First comes the diaper change
Then the massage with bedtime lotion
Then pajamas. Pajamas is currently a hilarious word to Matthew.
Then Scriptures, prayer and kisses
Then a song.
Most of bedtime is performed by Daddy as I spend all day with Matthew. It's Nick and Matthew's time together. I do scripture and prayer and of course, hugs and kisses.

Just Matthew and Daddy
Nick loves Matthew. Matthew loves Nick. I see it in both of their faces when they 'hang' together.
They both love Sundays and Mondays which are Nick's days off.
