Aunt Amie Part 2

Nick started with a history lesson. He explained how the rocks are formed to replicate the forming of Salem and the shore lines.

Yes, this may be irreverent, but doesn't he look cute?
For the record I'm perfectly fine with people taking pictures at my gravestone when the time comes.

It's very very very hard to see, but there is a squirrel up there. A squirrel who was throwing acorns down at people. Mostly the other group taking pictures in the cemetery, but a few were aimed at us! He was a stubborn little squirrel who didn't want anyone near his tree.

Spooky ghost tour. We have tried quite a few, and enjoyed this one the most. It's spellbound tours (also featured on the Travel Channel). It's encouraged to try to catch pictures of the ghosts and spirits with your camera. Also, there wasn't as much emphasis on the history from the history books, but more on the people and speculation on why they haunt.

A nice place haunted by a mean ghost. It's the house haunted by a cruel judge, and it's said you may see him looking out at you. Also, if you head to the back, you can feel the stones and the negative energy emanating from the house.
A great way to end a day in Salem. Especially a day that started with a tire incident.

Aunt Amie

While Aunt Amie was here, we headed down to Boston. Matthew was pretty good and a happy boy for the majority.

But when he got tired, he let us know.

Amie enjoyed seeing the sites. We took her on a tour of Harvard.

As it was given by Nick and I who have never attended Harvard, it focused more on cute boys and "That's an old building".

Of course no trip to Boston is complete without a visit to Fanueil Hall and Quincy Market.

A Couple of Sleepless Nights

Lately, Matthew has stopped being the great sleeper and happy go lucky baby he normally is. Instead, he's been cranky, and has a runny nose. He was up every hour to hour and a half Saturday night.
We thought teething, but there was no evidence. We now have evidence. If you look closely, you will see a tooth breaking through on the bottom.

Casa de Muir

Is now open for business.

While you do have your own TV and DVD player, I can not guarantee Stitch will stay out unless you shut the door. Also, there is a little one in the room next door. We will try to hear him first, but no guarantees! We are simple folk, but anyone is welcome. September is pretty full, but the rest of the year is open. Who'd like to be penciled in?

The Window

Matthew has started to realize there is more to life than eating, sleeping, and repeating.

Matthew has discovered that the window is a fascinating object. It lets you watch cars and trucks go by, you can see flashing lights of police and fire engines, and you can watch Daddy leave for work. If it's dark enough, you can also see yourself in it.

Stitch is used to being the only window watcher. He's not quite ready to give up his exclusivity yet.

Visitors

We are getting ready for visitors. My friend Amie is headed out first. Then my sister Chelsea will come a week later.

After all, what's better than fall in Boston?
