Johnny Jumper

Jolly Jumper? I've heard both names.

Regardless, I have a little boy who loves to swing and bounce.

5 Months Old

Matthew is 5 Months old today.


He
...is up to 13 lbs 13 ounces. (because)
...loves to eat food.
...adores beets, avocado and bananas the most.
...loves to swing and jump in his Johnny Jumper.
...is 26 1/4" long. (which means)
...is wearing 9 month sleepers! (Some of his 6 month ones are too small)
...smiles and giggles for almost anyone.
...dislikes strong perfumes or scents.
...babbles all the time, especially when in the kitchen cooking with Mommy.
...blows raspberries, especially at Daddy.
...knows his name and will turn toward you when you say it.

Beet Purple Face

Apparently formula is gross. Worse than rice cereal.

For my munchkin has decided he likes food.

He has now eaten and enjoyed:

bananas

rice cereal

oatmeal

beets (above)

avocado (he loved this)

pears

peaches

He has been such a good eater. So far he hasn't turned his nose up at anything. But this weekend we will be trying corn and maybe carrots.

Food

On July 26th, we were given the go ahead to start with this:

He wasn't sure at first.

Then he cried if I wasn't feeding fast enough.

And was disturbed when the bowl was empty.

I promise he has toys

Matthew likes the Bumbo chair. I will sit him on the kitchen counter while I'm cooking (close supervision). His favorite thing to play with is the bottle dryer.

I've tried handing him a toy, a book, anything. But alas, his favorite thing is the bottle dryer. Especially if there are no bottles on it. Then he can really push and pull it around the counter.
